I can still remember my first backpacking trip. I was 23, was not in the best of shape, and had no idea what I was doing. It was up in Washington, I forgot my hiking boots, and we didn’t bring nearly enough food. But ya know what? I still had the time of my life and have been hooked ever since. So much that in 2015, I spent 22 days backpacking the John Muir Trail.
