1. Wallaroo Sedona Hat
I’ve been wearing the Wallaroo Sedona Sun Hat for 6 years, and it remains my go-to for sunny days outdoors. It’s cute and stylish, and the wide brim provides sun protection without impacting your vision. This hat is also great for traveling because you can fold it up and stuff it in a pack without worrying about creasing or damaging it. *Use the code BEARFOOT20 to get 20% off your purchase!*

2. Forest and Mountain Earrings
I buy almost all of my jewelry from Etsy, and I love these forest inspired handmade clay earrings. You won’t have to worry if she’s a gold or silver person, and these go with everything!
3. The North Face ThermoBall Traction Booties
The North Face ThermoBall Traction Booties are my new favorite camping shoes. They have a thick, tough sole for trodding around your campsite and keep my toes toasty warm on chilly evenings. They slip on and off easily, and I’ll be living in these once I get my new truck camper this winter.
4. Fjallraven Nordic Heater Hat
I’m obsessed with this Fjallraven Nordic Heater hat. I bought it before a winter trip to Canada and was sooooo happy I had it. It kept my head, ears, and face so warm even in the teens, and dare I say it’s pretty cute too!
5. Enlightened Equipment Torrid Booties
For the female backpacker, like myself, who always complains about cold feet. These Enlighted Equipment Torrid Booties are way better for keeping your toes warm in your sleeping bag at night than a normal pair of socks. They weigh ~2oz and pack down incredibly small so throwing them in your pack for an overnight trip is a no brainer.
6. Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily Shirt
You’ve likely seen me recommend this shirt in nearly every gear-related post on the blog. That’s because the Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily Shirt is the shirt I wear most on my outdoor adventures. It’s lightweight, comfortable, wicks away moisture, dries fast, and it’s stretchy so it doesn’t feel restrictive no matter what activity you’re doing. It also comes in a long-sleeve version which is great for added sun protection.
7. Free Fly Pull-On Breeze Shorts
These Free Fly Pull-On Breeze Shorts have swiftly become my go-to hiking shorts. They’re lightweight, breezy, and have super deep pockets (a rarity, right?). Plus the extra bit of length means these don’t ride up and save your thighs from chafing. The elastic waistband means they should fit, even if you’re guessing on the size.
8. lululemon Wunder Train Tights
I prefer to hike in leggings and love the lululemon Wunder Train High-Rise Tights with pockets. They don’t roll down at the waist like a lot of leggings I’ve tried, and the stretchy material is comfy, yet more durable than your typical yoga pants.
Plus, this version has stretch pockets on the sides that fit an iPhone and you can choose from three different inseams for the perfect length.
9. Roka Rory 2.0 Sunglasses
The Roka Rory 2.0 sunglasses are the most comfortable sunglasses I’ve ever owned. The frames are extremely light, so you hardly notice you’re wearing them. The nose and temple pads are malleable and grippy, which holds the glasses in place during outdoor activities without causing painful pressure points.
10. Cotopaxi Cubos Packing Cube Bundle
If you’ve got a travel-loving lady on your gift list, the Cotopaxi Cubos Packing Cube Bundle will help her keep that overflowing bag organized. Colorful and durable, they’re perfect for road trips, plane travel, and even weekend getaways. I use packing cubes for EVERYTHING.
11. Mushroom Camping Mug
These cute mushroom camping mugs will make that morning coffee just a little bit more fun. Made from enamel, these mugs won’t break while rolling around in your camping bin, and they can even be personalized to make your gift more special.
12. AllTrails Lied to Us Pin
I think this AllTrails Lied to Us pin is hilarious. We’ve all been there. AllTrails says the trail is 5 miles, but you clocked 7. Or AllTrails said this was an easy hike, when really you are exhausted by the end of it. This is a gift for outdoorsy women that will surely make them laugh.
13. Nomadix Festival Blanket
I love my Nomadix Festival Blanket. It has so many uses! Outdoor concerts, beach days, or lakeside picnics, I always throw this thing in my car when I’m spending the day outside. It comes in lots of fun patterns and is machine washable.
14. CuloClean Ultralight Portable Bidet
You know what they say. Once you go bidet, you can never go back. Same applies for a bidet in the backcountry. This CuloClean Ultralight Portable Bidet is a game changer for women’s backcountry hygiene. It screws onto any standard water bottle and allows you to easily spray your lady parts and butt clean after going to the bathroom. A weird gift? Maybe. But I know your outdoorsy lady will thank you after she gives it a try.
15. CEP Tall Compression Socks
I lived in my CEP Compression socks during my pregnancy – hiking trails, jamming at Phish concerts, on my Europe hiking trip, and even on my cross-country van trip. No cramps, no swelling, just comfy, supported legs. I can’t recommend these enough for your adventures.
16. Jack Black Lip Balm
There are a lot of great lip balms to choose from, but the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm has been my favorite for years. It protects your lips from all elements with a moisturizing SPF 25 sunscreen, and the mint one smells wonderful. I usually buy the 3-pack so I can keep one in my fanny pack, one in my nightstand, and another in the waist pocket of my hiking pack.
17. Gregory Jade 28 Daypack
The Gregory Jade 28L is a fantastic daypack for women, and is the one I grab most when I’m going hiking. It has plenty of space and pockets for all your hiking essentials and the 3D mesh back panel provides excellent ventilation. It includes an integrated rainfly, a U-zip panel for easy access, compression straps to reduce bulk, and it fits most airline carry-on size requirements. Check out my women’s daypack gear guide for more options.
18. Kula Cloth
Every woman knows the challenges of going pee in the woods and having to deal with packing out toilet paper. But with the Kula Cloth, nature’s call gets a whole lot easier. This reusable pee cloth has a soft, antimicrobial, absorbent fabric on one side and a waterproof layer for holding on the other. Once you’re done wiping, snap the cloth in half and hang it on your pack. Then you can rinse it or throw it in the washing machine, and it’s good as new. If you decide to gift this, make sure you get the Bearfoot Theory design that I collaborated with Kula on. Still think this sounds weird? Check out my detailed Kula Cloth review.
19. Black Diamond Trail Women’s Trekking Poles
These Black Diamond Women’s Trail Trekking Poles are so helpful for hiking and backpacking because they help take weight off of your knees and hips, improve balance, and help you have better posture while hiking. These ones specifically are lightweight, telescope down for easy carrying, and have soft, comfortable grips for all-day hiking – plus, these poles are specifically designed for women. Looking for a different trekking pole? Check out my trekking pole gear guide.
20. Cotopaxi Allpa 38L Roller Bag
I’ve long been a fan of Cotopaxi’s Allpa backpack, but as I get older rolling luggage seems to be my go-to more often. This Cotopaxi Allpa 38L Roller Bag is compact enough for those tight overhead bins, yet spacious enough for all your essentials. It has great organization and is rugged and water-resistant for outdoor travel.
21. Fox 40 Classic Safety Whistle
For less than $10, this Safety Whistle could save a life. Just clip it on your shoulder strap or keychain, and you can quickly sound the alarm against a predator (human or wildlife) or help rescuers find you in case of an emergency. This is an easy gift for outdoor women that gives better peace of mind.
22. MPOWERD Luci Solar String Lights
For the ultimate camp vibe, these MPOWERD Luci Solar String Lights are a staple. I bring them on all of my camping trips, and not only do they add to the ambiance of camp, but they actually put out a good amount of light, too. You can charge the battery via USB, or leave them in a sunny spot during the day to recharge with the built in solar panel. These lights are also a great addition to backyard patios or decks.
23. Campfire Stories Deck
Some of the best memories come from around the campfire, which is why I love the Campfire Stories Deck. This deck contains 50 cards with storytelling prompts suitable for all ages. Prompts include questions like “tell us about your first encounter with a wild animal” and “tell a story about your first visit to a National Park”. It’s an excellent gift that helps get the conversation going, providing evening entertainment at camp.
24. I Love Peeing Outside Sticker
Another funny gift for ladies who love to get (and pee) outside. This I Love Peeing Outside Sticker is a lighthearted stocking stuffer that will make any hiker or camper smile. Throw it on your water bottle, cooler, or the back of your car for a good laugh.
25. REI Gift Card
Take the guesswork out of what to buy the outdoorsy woman in your life and grab an REI Gift Card. That way, she can pick out something she needs and wants for herself – no returns required!
