Bearfoot Theory Antelope Island Instameet
**The event is now at capacity and registration is full**
On November 14-15, Bearfoot Theory is headed out to the Great Salt Lake’s Antelope Island with fellow Outbound Explorers and photographers Jordan Smith and Rob Witt for an Instagram meetup/campout, and we want you to join us!
There will camping, hiking, free grub, photo tutorials, gear demos, a toasty fire, gorgeous views, and a bunch of sweet giveaways thanks to our sponsors shown below.
The date is also right around the new moon and coincides with the Leonids meteor shower, meaning if the skies are clear (*fingers crossed*), the stars should be putting on quite a show.
And most importantly it’s a chance to meet and connect with some new adventure buddies who live in the Salt Lake area.
Below you will find all of the Antelope Island Instameet details and an RSVP form that you need to fill out if you plan to attend.

We will be camping at the Lakeside Group Camping Area at the White Rock Bay Campground circled on the map below.
The campground has space for 20 vehicles. If possible, please carpool. When you arrive at the entrance booth, let them know you are headed to the group campsite reserved by Kristen Bor, and the entrance fee should be waived.
What will be provided
- Dinner: We will be grilling a variety of sausages and veggie burgers and will also have some side dishes. Please indicate in the RSVP form whether or not you are a vegetarian. ProBar will also be bringing some tasty on-the-go snacks in case you get hungry doing that timelapse.
There will be a free raffle, photo competition, and other fun ways to win some awesome gear from Mountain Hardwear, Cotopaxi, ProBar, Goal Zero, and The Outbound – including packs, clothing, food, and more.
What you need to bring
- Camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc)
- If you can, please bring your own reusable plate and utensils. If not, we will have some disposable stuff you can use.
- Warm clothes
- Camera equipment / tripods
- Enough drinking water for the day/night, a water bottle, & any campfire beverages you wish to consume
- A headlamp
- Additional snacks & whatever you want to eat for breakfast

About my co-hosts
I connected with my two co-hosts via our work with The Outbound Collective. They are super talented photographers,
Jordan Smith – Jordan is a husband, a father, and a Marketing student. He could eat an entire buffalo chicken pizza by himself (*YUM*) and is stoked on any chance he has to get outside. You can check his work on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Rob Witt – Rob is an adventure junkie who considers the outdoors his second home. He loves backpacking, rock climbing, hiking with his wife and dog, snowboarding and running, as well as photographing his outdoor journeys. Rob’s photos have also graced the cover of the Falcon Guide’s Salt Lake City day hikes book. You can check out his work on Instagram.
Well, I’m super stoked to meet y’all out there on Antelope Island. If you have questions, feel free to shoot me an email or leave a comment below! And don’t forget to RSVP!
