Bearfoot Theory Southern Utah Group Tour: National Parks Hiking Trip (May 21-25)
Come explore the best of Southern Utah with me! From May 21-25, myself and a group of Bearfoot Theory readers will be hiking all over Southern Utah’s National Parks with Arizona Outback Adventures (AOA), one of the top guiding companies in the Southwest. If you’ve been drooling over photos of Southern Utah, now’s your chance to experience these incredible places in person with a fun group of people. I’ve worked with AOA to develop a custom Southern Utah group tour itinerary where we will cross off a bunch of Southern Utah classics – from the thrilling hike to the top of Angel’s Landing, to wading through the Zion Narrows, to exploring out-of-this-world slot canyons in Escalante.
Check out the details below and reserve your spot on our Southern Utah group tour before it fills up!

The trail to Observation Point in Zion National Park
This trip departs from Las Vegas, which is the closest major airport to Southern Utah. The first two nights will be spent surrounded by a red rock amphitheater in Kodachrome Basin, a convenient launching pad for hikes in Bryce Canyon National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, a personal favorite. Then after we are done exploring those areas, we will relocate, spending the final two nights at a basecamp in Zion National Park!

••• About Arizona Outback Adventures •••
I chose Arizona Outback Adventures for the Bearfoot Theory Southern Utah group tour because they’ve been leading trips in the Southwest for nearly 20 years. They know the region like no one else and have developed a special itinerary just for us where we will get to experience the diverse parts of Utah. AOA is also known for killer food, comfortable basecamps, and super professional guides, and they have a 5 star rating on trip advisor.
You’ll need to get yourself to and from Vegas, but once the group meets on the morning of the 21st, everything on the trip is all-inclusive. AOA takes care of all activities, permits, transportation, and food, and even provides tents and comfy sleeping pads. All you have to bring is your sleeping bag, clothes, and a daypack (which are available for rent if you don’t have them).
**BONUS: I’ll be sending everyone home with a USB stick with all of the photos from the trip and a personalized printed photo book!**

••• Trip Difficulty •••
Ideally, you should be comfortable hiking 5-8 miles with some ups and downs each day while carrying a daypack. If you are fairly new to hiking but in confident physical shape, this will be a great trip to get more experience in a supportive group with incredible landscapes. Remember, you also have a few months from now to prepare and get your hiking legs ready.
New to camping?…no worries!
This is a great opportunity to learn the ropes. The campgrounds we are staying at have running water and bathrooms, and our guide and myself will be more than happy to teach you whatever you want to know about sleeping under the stars!
