Write for Bearfoot Theory
Have a cool trip report, useful outdoor tips, gear review, or a story that you think would be of interest to Bearfoot Theory readers? I’d love to hear from you!
I accept well-written guest posts from aspiring writers, travel bloggers, or outdoor enthusiasts who want to share their stoke. To pitch a story, contact me here.
In exchange for your work, I offer a link to your website (if you have one) and social media profiles, as well as social media promotion.
Please keep in mind the following guidelines:
1) Written posts must be accompanied by professional quality, royalty-free photos. If you don’t have appropriate photos, creative commons photos can be sourced from Flickr and other sites with proper accreditation. If you don’t know how to find photos, just let me know and we can work together on that.
2) The geographic focus of Bearfoot Theory is the Western US (including Hawaii and Alaska). However, I will also consider stories about outdoor adventure travel from around the globe. Topics generally include hiking, camping, backpacking, paddling, photography, hot springs, biking, etc – the kind of activities that are accessible to the average outdoor enthusiast.
3) Length generally varies from 500-800 words, although it depends on the type of content. I accept list-type posts, informative and replicable trip reports, photo essays, inspirational stories, and more. If you have questions about your story idea, just get in touch!
Thanks, and I’m excited to hear from you!
